With over two decades of experience at the forefront of competitive climbing, Mike Rougeux is one of the most respected figures in athlete development in US climbing. As the founder of Emergence Climbing and the Head Competition Coach at Bend Endurance Academy, Mike has dedicated his career to refining the systems that transform talented climbers into elite competitors.
Through his career Mike has worked with multiple USA Climbing Youth National Champions and over 10 National Team members. His expertise on the world stage is well-established, having served as a coach for the US Youth National Team at the IFSC Youth World Championships. Known for his technical precision and seasonal periodization, Mike bridges the gap between raw talent and podium-level performance, focusing on the "emergence" of an athlete’s full potential through intentional practice and psychological resilience.
